The language of the heart

For me, poetry is another way to be fully in touch with the inner world. My poems are created just like my paintings. From silence, from touch, from within. They are a voice that you can only hear in the space behind your thoughts. Where you meet the honest face of your heart which is gently exposed in the silence of your breath.

My first book of poetry

In the fall of 2023, my first collection of poems entitled Srdcem obnažená (Uncovered by the Heart) was published by Magda Publishing House. The book is enriched with photographs of my intuitive paintings with short stories that are imprinted on the canvas.

The book was published to support the activities of the Ecuadorian Bosque Medicinal Foundation, which strives to protect and preserve the Amazon rainforest, under the auspices of the Czech association Forest.ink. The Bosque Medicinal, or medicinal forest in the form of the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador, together with Czech forests and the beauties of nature, has become my main inspiration and faithful guide through the landscape of my own inner self. My heart is filled with gratitude that I can participate in the preservation and restoration of living beauty, home to millions of plants and animals, source of life and healing power that the rainforest offers. It warms my heart that I can return the spiritual gift that I have received through this collection back to the medicinal forest. I feel that if we want to achieve any change on a global scale, we must first start with a change within ourselves, becoming the change that we want to see in the outside world.

And what is the essence of my book?

Fragments of the view of a woman who went blind at twenty-one but still said yes to life. So that she could hear the call of her heart and travel halfway around the world to the Amazon and the South American Andes and experience a deep connection with nature that will uncompromisingly strip you naked. To understand that every courageous hearing of the call of the heart hides an inner treasure, at the bottom of which you can see the true face of yourself. And to understand that life will break you and no one and nothing will protect you from that, not even loneliness, because the desire to feel and love is simply stronger and the reason why we are in this world. If you want to feel life flowing in your veins, you have to take risks. To open your heart wide and give it a chance. To let yourself be fully absorbed by life. And believe that it will hurt and someone will come who will betray you, abandon you, hurt you or death will come too close. But when you then become quiet and listen to the birds singing, the whispering of the wind in the treetops, the raindrops falling gently on the grass or look at the sky full of stars, you will know that you have tasted as much bitterness and sweetness of life as you could.
